The TV is the best babysitter when parents need sometime to do some independent tasks.  Did you know that very young children who watch 90min. or more of fast pace cartoons, can effect your child's attention span. Cartoons like Sponge Bob is fast paced.  Slow paced would be Sesame street.  See more on NBC.com TV and Your Young Child /Today Show discussing latest study on this subject!

Technologically Challenged

Hi,
I'm back, my friends.  I got blogistis until I got help to get back on.  It's amazing how everyone younger than I can navigate technology like none other.  How things have changed.
So much has changed in the past 10 yrs. Not only technology, but how we view the world around us.What is on most of our minds is the 10th Anniversary of 9/11.  For tomorrow, make it a "good deed " day for your kids.  Whether they do something for their family, in the community...anything to pay it forward.  Keep the TV's off as they may cause anxiety, especially due to this newest terror threat.  "Terror"...what a devastating word.
Grab hold of you loved ones and hug them.
I know I will.  Forget the petty stuff...like technology.  It's here to stay.  More importantly, make tomorrow a hands-on family affair full of verbal communication and love.
